FAQ

A couple of answers
to your questions.

01What is Hasta?+

Hasta is a selective European investment syndicate. We lead pre-seed and seed rounds, and a vetted group co-invests deal by deal and helps with expertise and contacts.

02What does Hasta mean?+

Hasta is Latin for spear. The name reflects the role we intend to play: at the tip of the spear of European innovation, where ambitious technology becomes real capability.

03Is Hasta a fund?+

No. Hasta forms a view and leads each selected opportunity. Members decide individually whether to participate through a single-deal vehicle. There is no blind-pool commitment.

04How is each investment structured?+

Participating members pool capital in a deal-specific special-purpose vehicle. The vehicle makes one investment using the instrument agreed for the round, so the company manages one investor entry rather than every member separately.

05How quickly can Hasta move?+

In the best case, a company can move from the first call to receiving the investment and active support in a couple of weeks. Timing depends on diligence, member decisions, required checks, final documents and bank transfers.

06Why Europe?+

We are European patriots in practical terms. We want more of the technology Europe depends on to be designed, owned, financed and built here.

07What does “built in Europe” mean?+

Europe means the continent, not EU membership. It includes EU and EEA countries, the United Kingdom, Ukraine and the wider European region. The company and its core technology must be developed here, with a credible path to building more of its components, production or technology stack here over time.

08Which sectors do you invest in?+

Our mandate covers applied AI and core software; autonomy, robotics and sensing; advanced components and production; compute, networks and data infrastructure; and resilient infrastructure. Some technologies do not fit neatly into a civilian or security category. We may back strategic, dual-use or defence applications when they strengthen European capability and have a credible technical, commercial and production path. Defence is within our mandate, but it does not define the whole mandate.

09How do founders approach Hasta?+

Use the founder intake. Keep it clear and do not include classified or export-controlled information.

010How do investors join?+

By referral and screening. Deal access is private and membership is not publicly solicited. The minimum member check is €10,000 per deal.

011What does Hasta contribute?+

Hasta leads the process: sourcing, focused diligence, the investment case, terms, round formation and investor coordination. After funding, we stay useful through direct work and relevant introductions.

012What support should founders expect after funding?+

Support is specific to the company. It can include direct feedback, relevant operating expertise and introductions to customers, partners, talent or follow-on capital. We only promise help we are equipped to provide.
